PAR-173-L1-107-A1-Theater, Old Engineering

Electrical Engineering Club

Are you not satisfied with simple breadboard circuits with unstable connections and bulkiness? Do you want to use small SMD components to miniaturize your projects. Do you want to create a professional looking product? Then knowing how to make your own PCBs is a must for any electronics projects.

This introductory workshop teaches you how to design and manufacture you own custom PCB using KiCad, a free and open-source software package. The workshop will give you an introduction to KiCAD, which will give you all the tools you need to start designing your own PCBs.

Date: 19/04/2024 Friday
Time: 4:30pm - 6pm

Location:  Old Engineering A1 Theater, PAR-173-L1-107

We also have some PCBs designed and manufactured as part of last year's workshop, so come to the workshop and express your interest in learning how to assemble and solder them to complete a project.

Additional Notes:

Please install KiCad from the official website before attending to save time, as KiCad is quite large. https://www.kicad.org/

Bringing a mouse for the event is highly recommended.
