OmniSci x SAMU (Flat) Earth Pancake BBQ (Semester 1, 2024)

(Friday 19 April, 11:00am - 1:00pm – Peter Hall Courtyard BBQ)

We here at OmniSci are committed to promoting well researched and accurate science communication. However, next week we’ll be flipping the script (and some pancakes) for one day only and be indulging in some good old astronomical conspiracy theories.

The OmniSci crew have teamed up with the astronomy society, SAMU, to bring you the Flat Earth Pancake BBQ! From 11:00am - 1:00pm next Friday, we will be serving you this alternative planetary theory in the form of delicious and FREE PANCAKES 🥞 at the Peter Hall Courtyard BBQ. With the power of food colouring, you’ll be able to create your very own flat Earth or try your hand at expanding this theory to other planets throughout the solar system (depending on your artistic ability).

Pop down and chow down between classes and discuss the accuracy (or inaccuracy) of the flat earth theory with your friends at OmniSci or new pals at SAMU.

Get cosmic! 🌏🥞🪐
